As such, there's no encouragement in the idea that the truth can set a person free. There's just too big an asterisk left by such sentiment.

Date: 2010-07-24 05:58 am (UTC)That is a horrible truth, once you realise it. The truth can set a person free, but it's more like "the truth, once they accept it". There really is no guarantee that they will.
I also hate that the most tempting lies are often the ugliest and cruellest ones.
