luna_manarIt bothers me that humans are no more likely to believe demonstrable truth than they are insinuated lies.
As such, there's no encouragement in the idea that the truth can set a person free. There's just too big an asterisk left by such sentiment.

Date: 2010-07-24 05:58 am (UTC)That is a horrible truth, once you realise it. The truth can set a person free, but it's more like "the truth, once they accept it". There really is no guarantee that they will.
I also hate that the most tempting lies are often the ugliest and cruellest ones.
